NIHR Patient Safety Research Collaborations (PSRCs) are partnerships between universities and NHS trusts that support patient safety research
Our themes of work, developed with patients, families and health professionals, reflect both our existing research strengths and the aim of building safety more comprehensively into the system.
Our PSRC aims to develop, validate and test innovations, approaches and interventions that have the potential to lead to improvements in patient safety and the safety of health and care services.
To deliver our ambitious programme of research, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (BTHFT) and the University of Leeds, will work with a wide range of partners from the universities of Bradford, Nottingham, York and Oxford.
We are committed to actively and meaningfully involving and engaging patients, members of the public and healthcare staff in developing, delivering and translating our research into practice.

The NIHR Yorkshire and Humber Patient Safety Research Collaboration (YH PSRC) is a member of SafetyNet, a network of six NIHR PSRCs dedicated to improving patient safety across England. Through this network, we collaborate to share best practices, knowledge, and resources, strengthening our ability to conduct impactful research that addresses patient safety challenges and reduces inequalities in health and social care.
